McCarthy's
-We all gathered inside the pub. Our bikes lay across the street in a parking lot with the manifest in the spokes. Edward came inside, blew the horn and we were off.
First Stop
A bar on Detroit Ave and 112th ish
-Run to the back of the bar, put your hand in a murky baby pool and find a playing card. (Find the Ace and win a grand prize).
*This pool was filled with some unknown oily substance. For the next couple of miles, I was pawing at my pants to try and get it off my gloves. Did I mention I ride bare metal drops? fuck
Second Stop
Edgewater Park
-Got my manifest stamped and off I went.
*I was on my way to the next stop, Duke Ave, when my whole right leg just completely cramped up. I could barely budge my leg out of the clip. I thought if I moved my leg, something would rip internally. I gimped to the side of the road and mothered my calve back to working order with a solid 5 minute stretch.
Third Stop
Duke Ave ( The Anti-Vegan Stop)
-Eat a hot dog and drink a beer. For each item you refuse, you are penalized 3 minutes.
*This stop was definitely a favorite. I got there right after they ran out of warm beer, so I was treated to a cold Budweiser(thats what I'm talking about). The funny part is that I probably took the same amount of time drinking and eating as the people getting penalized. A most satisfying stop for sure.
Fourth Stop
Lorain Ave and W25
-Get your face painted
*This stop was vital to make me look like a warrior.
Fifth Stop
The Glass Bubble
-Coke / Pepsi challenge. Guess which kind you're drinking.
*I felt like I was made for this challenge. As soon as I gulped down the liquid, I noticed a flat tasting characteristic that can only be attributed to PEPSI. Sorry, I'm a Coke Cola fan.
*Getting to the next stop, A.J. Rocco's, was insane. Cleveland was all hustle and bustle. Both of the Cavs and the Indians were getting ready to start a game; people were everywhere. Keep in mind that I still have my warrior paint on. haha
Sixth Stop
A.J. Rocco's
-Pretty simple, take a shot and go.
*Heres what made it interesting: We were taking these shots outside of the bar where everyone was pre-gaming. We had people cheering us on and what not, it was hilarious.
Seventh Stop

-Roll two sevens with dice to advance

First Stop
Revival
-Received an informational piece of paper about the late Dr. Bob from Akron. The paper said I must report to Dr. Bobs house before the end of the race to complete a task.
Second Stop
Dr. Bob’s House
-Two options: answer facts about Dr. Bob or chug a PBR.
*Chugged a PBR and broke the fuck out.
Third Stop
Plaque about something important
*this stop was for extra points I believe, it was not necessary, although it made me feel like a champion pedaling 7 miles out of the way than everyone and still placing well.
-Write the first line of the plaque.
Fourth Stop
Cadillac Hill
-Climb as high as you can for points.
*Made it half way. This hill is so steep, its hard for some cars. Combine that with old brick road, yeah, so get off my case.
Fifth Stop
Library
-Take two slips of paper and answer one of the questions.
*I had to find the headline for some New Orleans paper. As I went into the library and approached the magazine/newspaper area, I broke into a mad rush as I saw 100’s of different newspapers from all over the country.
*Between the library and the next stop, I missed getting hit by a Jeep by mere inches. Then the pissed off driver decided to turn into me at the next intersection :)
Sixth Stop
View of Akron Skyline(some park at the top of a hill)
-Run up the hill and draw a picture of Akron’s skyline on a note-card.
*If my calves could talk, they’d tell you about running up this hill.
Seventh Stop
Goodyear
-Throw a bicycle tire over a concrete pillar to advance or throw all four tires onto each of the pillars in a row to earn points.
*3rd time was the charm.
Eighth Stop
Some Bar on Exchange St.
-Chug a cup of beer
*This beer was unexpectedly cool and refreshing, I loved it.
Ninth Stop
Dr. Bob’s
-Return and pick up a USPS box to carry to the finish.
*Fuck putting this box in my “messenger bag,” I’m tired as fuck and this brick road I’m riding on is making me infertile...GODSPEED!

This post has made me truly disagree with the way supply and demand works. These are amazing frames that I can guarantee we would all love to ride, but where does it stop? No offense to NJS Export, I love their goods. They're selling at prices that follow the market.... But why are people paying $900 and $1000 for frames that are rusted? The name, NJS stamp, bragging rights? I remember reading about how a few years ago, you could pick up frames like these for a few hundred. In conclusion, make that money.

There shop which is on the Lower East Side(about 8 blocks from Trackstar) opens this Sunday.
They specialize in selling Japanese Track bikes and parts(two frames are up for sale as we speak).
